STORM WATCH: Steady showers and chilly conditions for NYC; tracking heavy rain for Wednesday

Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Allan Nosoff says the worst of the storm arrives on Wednesday with more heavy rain and gusts of wind up to 40 mph.
The NWS has issued a HIGH WIND WATCH​ for all boroughs from 11AM tomorrow through 5AM Thursday. A COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY is in effect for Brooklyn tomorrow. A FLOOD WATCH may still be issued.

A coastal storm will continue to impact the tri-state through Thursday morning. Rounds of heavy rain and high winds will likely create unfavorable or hazardous conditions during daytime hours, along with flooding concerns across the region. Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Julian Seawright gives a quick breakdown on the latest storm.
TONIGHT: A relative lull in the rain, with some scattered showers. Temps in the low 40s.
TOMORROW - STORM WATCH: Showers become widespread through the morning with downpours by noon. Some heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms expected for the afternoon. Some flooding is likely. Temps hover in the mid 40s. Winds pick up through the day. Gusts of 30 to 50 mph likely after noon, with 60 mph gusts along the water. Rain tapers to showers through the evening commute but flooding conditions may remain. Tapering to isolated showers/sprinkles before midnight. Lows down to 39.
THURSDAY: Leftover showers; a few in the morning, a few in the evening. Otherwise, cloudy, dreary, misty. Highs near 48. Lows around 37.
FRIDAY - YANKEES' OPENING DAY: Low pressure is still close enough to spark a few isolated showers or mist. Yanks will play on with no issues. Highs near 50. Lows around 41.
NEXT WEEKEND: Improving! Leftover clouds Saturday and still a bit chilly, much warmer and sunny Sunday. Near 53 Saturday, 63 Sunday.
MONDAY - SOLAR ECLIPSE: So far so good...BUT a few clouds from the west may try to speed up, otherwise good viewing conditions! Highs surge to near-70.
