Wet and breezy conditions will bring slick travel for both the Thursday morning commute as well as the evening commute. Windswept rain will create messy travel. Rainfall totals of 1 to 2 inches are expected by Thursday night, with isolated spots seeing up to 3 inches during heavier downpours.
Poor visibility, slippery roads, and isolated flooding will make for a challenging evening commute. Gusts of 35 to 45 mph, or higher in some areas, could lead to scattered power outages. The storm will pull away overnight, but gusty winds will linger into the weekend.
Halloween will be drier but cool and windy, with gusts up to 40 mph and temperatures in the low 50s, which could make trick-or-treating feel a bit chilly. Temperatures will remain in the 50s with breezy conditions for both weekend days.
