Activists staged a sit-in Tuesday at City Hall to demand that more housing be built for homeless New Yorkers.
Councilman Rafael Salamanca Jr. was among the demonstrators who blocked the entrance to City Hall.
Advocates are calling on Mayor Bill de Blasio to dedicate 30,000 units of his affordable housing plan for use by the homeless.
No arrests were made at the demonstration.
