A suspect is in custody in connection to the fatal beating of a man during a Christmas Eve mugging in Morrisania, police say.
They say Abu Conteh, 18, of Morris Heights, was responsible for killing 60-year-old Juan Fresnada while Fresnada was walking with his husband near a McDonald's on Third Avenue.
Authorities say a group of men approached the couple and pummeled them. They made off with just a dollar.
Fresnada was later pronounced dead Friday at NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln.
