Autism service dog goes missing in Mott Haven

A Mott Haven family is hoping the public can help find their missing dog.
Victor Reyes and his two children are hoping their 1-year-old Shih Tzu, Spirit, will return home after going missing on Sunday.
Reyes says he got distracted while putting his 8-year-old son in his car and Spirit ran off.
“I drove to the corner and then I realized, by the time I came around to look for my dog I didn’t see her anywhere. I get up every single morning and look around for her,” says Reyes.
Spirit was last seen along 138th Street between Willis and Brook avenues.
Reyes says their beloved pooch is a service dog for him and his children, both living with autism.
“Whoever has my dog to please have a heart and return us our dog because it’s very simple, you won’t be in trouble. We just want her back,” says Reyes.
Reyes says that Spirit does have a chip.
Anyone with information on Spirit is asked to contact Victor Reyes at 646-377-5000.
