Hair salons may be closed during the coronavirus outbreak but that isn't stopping one in Brooklyn from helping out residents.
Staff at Bohemian Rose Hair Studio in Bay Ridge were worried that their clients wouldn't be able to get their hair colored properly.
That's when they decide to provide curbside pickup so residents wouldn't have to resort to over the counter colors that are not usually effective.
"Either it's the wrong color, it turns red, they overlap and get bands, which is hard to even out later on," says co-owner and senior stylist, Tarin Sukkarieh.
Sukkarieh says they provide people the exact formula, a mini bowl, a brush and a set of gloves.
The salon says the kits aren't about making a profit but about keeping their customers happy until they reopen.
"Basically enough to get them to the clients, you know, so it's not a commissionable things at this point," says Sukkarieh. "At this point it's really just enough to buy the supplies and get it to them."
