A recent string of tire slashings has car owners in one Bronx neighborhood on edge. Residents on Saint Lawrence Avenue say in the past few weeks more than a dozen tires have been slashed. Victims say they don?t know who is responsible, but the vandalism has cost them hundreds of dollars in repairs.Officials from the 43 Precinct say they have not received any reports about the slashings. They say now that they are aware, they will be sure to step up patrols in the area.
