According to the American Farm Bureau Federation, it now costs just over $50 to buy all the items needed for Thanksgiving to feed 10 people.
The federation says the biggest factor in the rising cost of the meal is the turkey. The cost went up $1.39 this year for a 16-pound turkey.
The cost of rolls and pumpkin pie mix also increased.
The data released is based on national averages.
Experts say to seek out sales at local markets.
