In Wakefield, construction is underway that will prompt street closures and impact local parking.

The work is happening on the aboveground train tracks along White Plains Road between the 225th and 233rd street stations.

New York City Transit says the construction will last around five weeks, wrapping up around June 14.

The work will require cranes to lower track panels and materials for the workers - meaning parking won't be allowed on either side of White Plains Road between 228th and 230th streets. Some roads will be closed occasionally when cranes are being placed in those areas.
