Suffolk police: 7 French bulldogs stolen from Shirley home
Suffolk police are trying to find at least three people who broke into a Shirley home and stole seven French bulldogs early Sunday morning.
The victim sent News 12 Long Island surveillance video of the incident which happened around 3:45 a.m. on Concord Road.
Police say two 6-month-old French bull dogs and five puppies were taken.
The victim said he shows the dogs at competitions throughout the region and that they were worth about $4,000 each.
“I'm very disappointed”, he said. “I thought this community was safe, but I guess it’s not.”
He hopes the dogs, who were all micro-chipped, turn up soon.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the 7th Squad or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
