On 12 and we're getting a taste of Fordham this morning. Oh, we are. News twelve's Ellie Mario is on your block at the pre cafe. Ellie. What delicious um pastries. Is that what we're focusing on now? Yeah, guys. Well, you can actually call me like a part time employee. Today, I've been behind counters. We're whipping up food and today we are at the cafe, we just came back from Pete's Cafe along Fordham Road and I'm here, joined with manager Miley. Now, Miley, you told me that the cafe has been here for over 12 years. You worked here for over four. What can Bronx sites really expect when they walk in here? We got everything from coffees to paninis. We have cold cut sandwiches. We have a whole buffet section that no one really expects in the Bronx. But it's, you know, something that's worth trying. I love that. And you've got a little bit of a taste of what we can find here. Can you tell me what we've got here? So this is a Cuban panini. This has the roast pork which is peril and then turkey. A little bit of pickles and tomatoes. And then the one in the back is a capri. It's just something basic. Just a little bit of turkey tomatoes and lettuce. And you know, we're going to be a little healthy right now. You're going to whip up a strawberry banana smoothie with us. Go ahead and whip it up. Girl. Take a look. This is all made with fresh ingredients, guys. When we walked in, you could see those fresh fruits just laid out in the cafe here and we're actually going to get a live taste test here with Miley. She is going to it up here but that's the latest here at the Primavera Cafe News 12 the Bronx. Look at you. Taste it. Bring it back. That's easy to go. Look at that. Well, it's summer here on 12 and we're getting a taste of Fordham this morning. We are news twelve's Ellie Mario is on your block at Corky's Diner, Ellie. You're just getting all the breakfast treats today. Come on. What's going on guys? My diet is no more. I just officially ended it there. I actually joined with the owner here, Steve. Steve. Look at this layout right now. But first I do want to ask you, how long have you been serving these delicious yummy, delicious plates to the Bronx community around here. About 33 years. 12 years on the location. 17 across the street and another three down the corner. Oh my gosh. So tell me a little bit about what we got here. What do we have? We got the special e easy with sausage home fries, homemade potatoes, the toast and the cappuccino espresso cappuccino. This is the royal waffle. All right. Well, I'm going to try this waffle. OK. We're going to try it real quick here guys. I've been eating all morning and I'm not mad at it at all. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my God, Jesus Christ. That's really good. Everything is made from scratch over here and if you're here, we made it by. No, you have to give us like 5, 10 minutes and you have everything fresh. Well, I don't need five or 10 minutes. I might just finish this plate in the next two, but that's the latest here in for 12. The Bronx. I'm going to keep eating. Ok, lie that got you calling on the girl. It must be good.

Yes, we are sitting down this time. We've been at Cory's Diner. We went to Pete's Cafe and you know what? Now we're having some lunch, right? Steve. So tell me a little bit about what's going on here right now. Over here we have the chicken fajitas, the mixed chicken fajita with steak and chicken with rice and salad. And over here we got the hamburger, the California Burger Deluxe. It's with fresh meat. You know, we got delivered three times a week, fresh chopped meat that we made by scratch. The hamburgers with some avocado and pepper jack cheese. And you know, Steve, you told me that you guys open really early. You guys open at 5 a.m. right? So you guys serve customers from what time to what time? From five in the morning, 515 in the morning to 530 at night in the afternoon. That means they can come in and eat this good food all day. All day. From the morning, from 530 in the morning to 530 at night. So, are you going to eat with me? Yes, of course you are. Yes. All right. We are going to dig into this food and you know your girl, a little bit of hot sauce. I'm gonna put a little bit of hot sauce on here. This might be too much deep, but we're going to eat it.
