News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Michele Powers says Sunday will start off with morning showers ahead of a sunny afternoon with temperatures in the low-50s across Connecticut.
WHAT'S NEW: The cold front continues to push offshore in the wake of all the rain leftover from Nicole. Dry weather and breezy for Saturday night. Temperatures will be cooler and closer to average.
WHAT'S NEXT: Another low pressure area along the trailing cold front passes through early Sunday, so the clouds will collect with rain for early morning. The afternoon will look much better but temperatures will struggle to warm. Highs will be in the lower-50s. Freezing temperatures on the way for Sunday night and Monday morning.
Expect to see and feel colder temperatures next week. November decides to act more like November or even December this week ahead. Risk of showers Wednesday and again next weekend.
SUNDAY: Steadier period of rain likely Sunday morning. It'll get windier, with gusts in the 30s. No damage will be expected. A returning shower is possible 3-8 p.m. as it gets colder. Highs will only be around 50 degrees.
MONDAY: Sunday night into Monday will be a taste of winter. Morning lows will be in the 20s, highs will be in the 40s.
