The National Weather Service has issued a rip current statement for a high risk of rip currents through Friday evening for the Atlantic-facing beaches.
SUNNY FRIDAY LEADS INTO A SHOWERY SATURDAY
Another comfortable night is ahead with lows back down into the 60s and a gentle easterly breeze. That east wind will bring in some clouds after midnight with some patchy fog possible by the Friday morning commute.
The sun returns by late morning with another sun-filled afternoon and highs in the upper 70s. The humidity will be a bit higher, and continue to increase into Friday night. Showers hold off until late in the morning Saturday but it will be a cloudy and gloomy-looking day.
The best chance for gusty showers Saturday will be between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Quick clearing is expected once the rain ends, and a brisk breeze will bring down the coldest air of the season so far Saturday night. Lows will dip down into the midd-50s by Sunday morning, feeling colder than that with 20 mph gusts.
Sunday will be chilly but sunny. A quick rebound back to summer weather into next week, with temperatures mid-80s returning less than a week from now.
