The man accused of fatally shooting a livery cab driver pleaded not guilty in court Wednesday.
Nicholas Sanchez, who entered his plea quietly in front of a packed courtroom, has been charged with killing Mamadou Barry.
Police say Barry was fatally shot while driving his cab last month in Fordham near Crotona Avenue. Sanchez was a passenger in the vehicle, according to authorities.
Barry is survived by his pregnant wife and their three sons.
Sanchez's family says the police have arrested the wrong man. They say there is a significant height difference between the suspect shown on surveillance video and Sanchez.
The Bronx District Attorney's Office declined to comment on the discrepancy.
Sanchez's next court appearance is scheduled for Feb 3.
