The owner of a Kingsbridge day care and her husband are expected to appear in court Tuesday in connection to the fentanyl-induced death of a 1-year-old.
Grei Mendez and her husband Felix Herrera Garcia were arrested on multiple charges for the Kingsbridge day care death of 1-year-old Nicholas Dominici in September of 2023.
Police say they found a large quantity of fentanyl and other drugs under a trapdoor at the nursery. Three other children were admitted to hospital after being exposed to the powerful narcotic.
They are both being charged with murder, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and other additional charges.
