T-shaped intersection of Waters Place, Eastchester Road spells trouble in Morris Park
Drivers say the intersection of Waters Place and Eastchester Road is giving them headaches and traffic tickets.
They say making a left turn at the T-shaped intersection is difficult because of how the lanes are laid out -- and that police are handing out moving violations there.
Part of the road appears to be wide enough for three lanes, but there are only two. So drivers, who must either turn left or right, may be under the impression that they are in a middle lane. The confusion is leading to moving violations for drivers accused of turning the wrong way out of the wrong lane.
Residents say they want better signs to clear up the confusion and help spare drivers from getting tickets.
The Department of Transportation says drivers should only turn left from the left lane and right from the right lane.
