Taft Education Campus came back to sweep Morris High School to secure a place in the Public Schools Athletic League semifinals Thursday.
Taft needed to sweep Morris in the final two games of the regular season and force a four-way tie for the Bronx B Central Division title. The Golden Eagles got it done.
In the third inning, Morris was threatening a win, with Luis Rodriguez hitting it up the middle and Odanis Tejeda scoring a run on the two-RBI double. The Bulldogs took an early 4-3 lead over Taft.
Taft came back and scored five runs in the sixth inning to take a 9-7 win. Taft advances to the semifinals and will take on Queens Vo-Tech High School Monday.
