On this Road Trip: Close to Home we are taking a tour of the Manor House at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum in Great River.
The home was built on Long Island's South Shore - the Gold Coast of the 1800s - by William and Olivia Cutting.
Many of the rooms were once part of castles and chateaus in Europe. The Cuttings were extremely wealthy and helped start the New York Public Library, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Metropolitan Opera House.
Each room in the Manor is decorated for Christmas - using plant materials from the 691 acres that surround it.
The Cuttings' love of nature is found throughout the home including in many of the  windows by Tiffany.
If you'd like to see the Manor House decorated for the holidays, you have until Dec. 30 - click here for more information.
