A teacher at MS 142 in Baychester was arrested Thursday after police were called in to break up a scuffle.
Police arrived at the school shortly before noon and arrested 26-year-old Osagie Ehigie for assaulting a student. They say Ehigie was escorting the student out of a classroom and forcibly grabbed the kid by the neck.
The teacher has been charged with third-degree assault.
