Team Ukraine take on NYPD, FDNY baseball squads in charity game

A baseball team from Ukraine was in Coney Island on Saturday to take on the teams from the NYPD and FDNY at Maimonides Park.

A baseball team from Ukraine was in Coney Island on Saturday to take on the teams from the NYPD and FDNY at Maimonides Park.
The game raised funds to help rebuild sports fields and complexes throughout Ukraine amid eight months of war brought on by Russia.    
The FDNY Pulaski Association told News 12 $13,500 was raised for the cause.  
”Thank you, Americans and the whole world, for your support, it means a lot for us,” said one team Ukraine player.
News 12’s Shakti Denis was there and spoke with players.
