Police say that a teen was punched, and his cellphone taken as he exited a number 4 train.

The incident happened on Sunday shortly after 5 p.m. as the 19-year-old man was leaving a northbound 4 train at the Burnside Avenue station. Two men approached the teen and punched him about the body. When the victim’s cellphone fell, one of the thieves took it before both ran out of the train station.

The teen sustained minor injuries from the assault but refused medical attention from EMS.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
