Its National Volunteer Week, and one Bronx teen is making a difference by spending time at a local senior citizens home.
Bronx native Damola Ajibola, 15, has been spending 60 hours each month at Isabella Nursing Home and in the process has formed a strong bond with one of the women there.
For 96-year-old Inez Floyd, Damola's presence has been enough to change her life forever.
"It doesn't matter that I'm old, he still cares. And that means a whole lot to me," says Floyd.
Damola says that he was inspired to volunteer by the deep and loving relationship he has with his 88-year-old grandmother who lives in Nigeria.
The compassionate teen says that despite his busy schedule of school and activities, he wouldn't change how much time he spends at Isabella.
