Man arrested for assault of 15-year-old girl in Crotona Park East

Police say that a 15-year-old girl is now in the hospital after she was assaulted early Wednesday morning.
The teenager was found by police with injuries to her head and taken to Jacobi Hospital by private means in stable condition, according to officials. She is expected to be OK.
The attack happened just after 7:30 a.m. on Louis Nine Boulevard in Crotona Park East.
Police say they arrested 23-year-old Jeremiah White in connection to the assault. White is charged with second-degree assault causing a serious physical injury, which is a felony. If convicted, he faces up to seven years in prison.
Sources told News 12 White was also arrested in connection to other assaults in our borough.
