Tenants call for abolished rent, landlord accountability during march

Some tenants took to the streets of Brooklyn Friday claiming that their pleas for repairs are not being heard by landlords.

Some tenants took to the streets of Brooklyn Friday claiming that their pleas for repairs are not being heard by landlords.
They are also calling for rent to be canceled during the pandemic.
The march began at Marc and Jason’s Playground in Crown Heights and made several stops in the borough.
Several organizations participated in the event, coming out to march alongside the tenants to show solidarity, like Equality for Flatbush and New York Communities for Change.
