Fordham apartment tenants who were displaced after a fire in September say they are worried that they will be spending Christmas in a shelter.
The fire displaced 100 residents, and months later, many of them are still looking for a place to call home.
Tenants tell News 12 that during the fire, they had to break down a locked emergency door to escape the building.
In September, one tenant showed News 12 photos of tenants spending the night on an MTA bus, leading to plenty of social media outrage and calls on city agencies to lend a hand.
Tenants are now waiting for answers from the manager of the building, Creston Real Estate, to be transferred to a new home.
