Test & Trace Corp. to deliver packages to COVID-19 patients and contacts to help stop the virus spread

Mayor Bill de Blasio started his briefing thanking the Test & Trace Corp. team for their work helping stop the spread of the virus. He said that about 5,000 cases were averted because of the team.
Starting next week, Test & Trace Corp. will be able to deliver Take Care packages to all COVID-19 patients and contacts to help people safely separate and prevent the spread of the virus.
The package will include, masks, hand sanitizer, antibacterial wipes, a disposable thermometer, and those confirmed to have the virus will receive a pulse oximeter.
He said that only 1% of those tested for COVID-19 on Thursday got a positive result.
EVICTIONS
The mayor also thanked Gov. Andrew Cuomo for signing a 30-day extension of the eviction moratorium amid the coronavirus pandemic.
STORM
Mayor de Blasio said Con Edison keeps on being unclear about what their next steps are to fix the power for those that are still without power.
The new brief outage from this morning, seems to be weather related, but all those customers already have power back.
A number of agencies, with over 1,000 workers, will be out to clear trees.
