A Bronx-based author is highlighting Bronx culture along with iconic places in the borough with a new book.
Alyssa Reynoso Morris’s book “The Bronx is My Home” will be on sale in October. It was influenced by her upbringing with her three grandmothers and their time spent together cooking.
She says that inclusivity is one of the main reasons for writing her book.
"Society has shown this time and time again that the people who write our stories are the ones who influence society and the future. Having a book that positively illustrates the Bronx for all its beauty and all of its merit is so important because kids from the Bronx know to have pride in where they come from,” said Reynoso Morris.
News 12’s Brittany Cadet caught up with the author to get more on the inspiration behind her storytelling.
