With only 29 days until Halloween, Americans are gearing up for the spookiest night of the year.
According to the National Retail Federation, Halloween spending is projected to reach $3.8 billion on costumes alone.
Consumer expert Caleb Silver notes, "People are a little spent-out... trying to get a little bit more creative with their Halloween spend rather than just buy everything off the shelves."
This year's popular costumes include witches, vampires, Spiderman, Spiderverse characters, ghosts and princesses.
Pet owners aren't forgetting their furry friends. "If you wanna dress up your pet, we're seeing pet costumes out there - dress up your dog as a hotdog or as a pumpkin for as cheap as $20, but you can also spend a lot more on that if you want," says Silver.
