'The language of music.' International youth musicians gather for Carnegie Hall performances

The renown youth ensembles are coming from Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and New York City for a week of a first-of-its-kind music festival hosted by Carnegie Hall.

More than 700 musicians from five continents are preparing for seven consecutive nights of performances in New York City.
"Everybody is friends. Everybody communicates. Everybody connects around a love and a passion for music," said Clive Gillison, executive director at Carnegie Hall.
The renown youth ensembles are coming from Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and New York City for a week of a first-of-its-kind music festival hosted by Carnegie Hall.
World renown musician Gustavo Dudamel conducted the group's play-in performance Monday afternoon. Noah Crumbly, of New York-based orchestra program NY02, says he is in awe of the musical magic in the room.
"It really makes me consider how bright of a future we can have in our world if were able to come together like this and nobody speaks the same language but were all able to speak the language of music," he said.
