Are cases rising because of new variants, pandemic fatigue and travel or a combination of all of this?
Although nationwide test positivity continues to tick up, testing is declining. The average number of tests has decreased by 12.2% nationally. With less tests, fewer cases are being discovered, leaving the possibility that states are missing potential community spread. Dr. Cassiere discusses the decline:
