The Real Deal: Butter shortages could mean big price increases for holiday sweets, baking season

It's shaping up to be a great butter battle this holiday season.
Bakeries around the tri-state are reporting sky-high prices for the key cooking ingredient, due to supply chain shortages.
That could mean some serious price increases as the holidays approach.
Investopedia reports that there is 22% less butter in "cold storage" than there was one year ago.
While there are also shortages expected of another key holiday staple, cheese, it only pertains to milk-heavy varieties.
