There's good reason, according to Caleb Silver of Investopedia. Mass transit hasn't come back fully since the pandemic.

Feeling the pain of the traffic on the bridges, tunnels or highways?
There's good reason, according to Caleb Silver of Investopedia. Mass transit hasn't come back fully since the pandemic.
"But when we look at commuter traffic, people coming in and out of the city to work were still well below pre-pandemic levels. Metro-North at 78%, still 22% below pre-pandemic levels. LIRR 76%. And the subways only at about 65% capacity," Silver says.
So the good news is mass transit isn't overcrowded, and you are likely to get a seat. The bad news? Driving to work may be maddening with all the traffic.
