Are you ready to shop the deals for Prime Day?
Figuring out what’s a buy and what’s a bust requires some digging.
Shopping expert Trae Bodge says the best buys are usually on Amazon products.
“Something that I like to do, especially for pricier items, is to use a site like Slickdeals. You can set a deal alert for a specific item on Slickdeals and you'll be notified when it's on sale,” she says.
You should think outside the box. Don’t be so sure Amazon is offering the best deal. Newegg, Best Buy, Kohl’s, Overstock, Target and Walmart are also trying to offer price cuts.
“You may be able to save more at another retailer simply by stacking coupons and cashback offers that are not available on Amazon,” says Bodge.
Bodge suggests using comparison deal sites to do the work for you.
And don’t forget, you can support small businesses too.
“For people looking to support small businesses, there are very easy ways to go on to Amazon and you can go look at the small business section and see what small businesses are doing for Prime Day,” says Bodge.
