A woman is speaking out after she was captured on tape telling looters to stop tearing apart a store she doesn’t own but calls home.
The video has been seen thousands of times. “This is my home...it's a home away from home,” says 69-year-old Lucy Holsey.
Holsey may not own Valentine Deli but managers say she is an honorary worker and member of the deli family.
When her favorite corner store fell victim to looters during last week’s protests, the destruction was all caught on video as windows were shattered and the deli fell to pieces.
“I was very upset and I begged them off please just, stop please just stop,’ said Holsey.
Her reaction soon went viral on social media.
It took four days of nonstop work to get the deli up and running again and the owner says Holsey was there every step of the way.
