Borough President Vanessa Gibson announced today that the anticipated Bronx Week has been put on paused as her office shifts to focus on the boroughs budget deficit.

The borough president’s office, traditionally responsible for sponsorships and partnerships for Bronx Week, says they are taking a broader evaluation this year.

They are re-evaluating past and future partnerships to align with their fiscal responsibilities and vision of the borough.

There is still no word on when planning is expected to resume, but The borough president’s office is aiming to be back next year.

“We look forward to celebrating together again next year. Until then, our focus remains on the critical work ahead and delivering meaningful, measurable impact for the residents and families we are honored to serve.” says Borough President Vanessa Gibson.
