Thousands of bicyclists took part in the 45th annual Five Boro Bike Tour Sunday.
All the proceeds from the 32,000 riders taking part will go to bike education programs around New York City. This is the largest charity bike race in the nation.
Organizers say there was a milestone Sunday as the event featured the 1 millionth rider in the tour’s history.
The tour started off in Lower Manhattan, then moved up through the Bronx, then back into Manhattan and down through Brooklyn and Queens. Bicyclists wrapped up at Fort Wadsworth on Staten Island, just over the Verrazano Bridge.
