Runners hit the pavement in Central Park this morning to take a stand against hunger.
The New York Road Runners says over 5,000 people took part in the 29th annual Race to Deliver.
The 4-mile run/walk raises awareness and money for the organization God’s Love We Deliver.
The group provides pre-made, healthy meals to New York City residents who can’t shop or cook on their own.
Runners donated on their own or garnered the support of sponsors.
There was also a race for children under 11 years old to take part in.
For more information on how to donate, visit the organization’s website.
