A Throgs Neck man is facing multiple charges for a hit-and-run that left three people with serious injuries on East Tremont Avenue.

James Dillon, 26 pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including attempted murder.

Court documents state that Dillon jumped the curb and drove his car directly into three women that were standing on the sidewalk along East Tremont Avenue around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday.

The incident was caught on surveillance camera. It shows Dillon and a group that includes the victims engage in an argument before Dillon gets into his car and drives down the sidewalk. He then makes a U-turn into the street and drives in the direction of a person running toward the sidewalk. Dillon then jumps the curb and drives at a high speed into the group then takes off.

The victims suffered multiple fractures and a brain bleed, according to court documents.

Business owners were surprised to see the crime scene when they opened their stores on Sunday morning.

"I've worked in this area for the past five years, I do know there is a fluctuation with crime and stuff like that, this is not the first time I've heard of something like this happening," said Acacia Gonzalez.

Dillon is due back in court on July 25.
