A 4.8 magnitude earthquake was felt across the five boroughs on Friday, startling millions of New Yorkers unfamiliar with tremors.
A retired detective and first responder tells News 12 he felt the impact in his home, and how it reminded him of a much more traumatizing experience.
"Immediately [] you go right back to 9/11. I was a first responder during that time," said Victor DiPierro. "Although I wasn't there when the buildings collapsed, you heard stories about the rumbling and the sounds it made prior to coming down."
