A street in Throgs Neck has been renamed after a lifelong Bronx historian Saturday morning.
The intersection of Revere Avenue and Dill Place is now known as Bill Twomey Place after the historical writer who lived on the block for more than 30 years.
Twomey wrote around 1,000 history articles about the Bronx and started as a Bronx Times reporter in 1983.
The lifelong Bronx resident also authored nine books and was an active member of the community of Throgs Neck.
