The freeze warning from the National Weather Service may be over, but that doesn’t mean the cold is going away.
One of the best ways to protect yourself and your loved ones in this chilly weather is to wear layers, especially a hat. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says most of our body heat is lost through our head.
In weather like this, health officials recommend checking on little ones and elderly folks because their bodies lose heat more easily.
For those at home, check that your building owner is following city heating laws by keeping the temperature at 68 degrees during the day and 62 degrees overnight.
