A utility pole is seen sparking after being struck on Blondell Avenue in Westchester Square early Monday morning.

Surveillance video shows a tractor trailer coming down the road just after 3 a.m., where it appears to have hit the pole, causing sparks to fly, downed power lines, and safety concerns for residents.

As of 9:45 a.m., crews have been on scene to keep the area safe and make necessary repairs, according to a ConEd spokesperson.

The pole is stuck in a tilted position as a result of the incident and has been taped off due to safety concerns.
