Traevon Jordan, pro-wrestling champ and autism advocate from Bridgeport, sets sights on WWE

A professional wrestler from Bridgeport has been gaining national attention over the last several months.
Traevon Jordan, 26, recently won the Northeast Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship. He is half of the tag team, Waves and Curls, who are also the current Tag Team Champs.
"Five years from now, I see myself as a contractor wrestler with either the WWE, or with All Elite Wrestling," he said.
When the proud 2018 graduate of Johnson & Wales University isn't busy mapping out his skyrocketing career, he spends his time as a volunteer, making a difference in the lives of people with autism.
Jordan says the most incredible autism advocate he's ever encountered is Charles Fuller Jr., of Bridgeport, who gained national attention in 2020 from being featured in an NFL Film with his friend and hero football legend Jerry Rice.
"He got the attention of his hero Jerry Rice. You can move mountains as long as you believe you can. Charles moved a mountain -- and that's a beautiful thing,” said Jordan.
As Jordan’s career continues to soar, he credits his mom with keeping him on track.
"Mom, Superhero, Wonder Woman…all three wrapped into one,” he said.
His mother is proud of him for making a positive difference in the lives of so many young people.
“I’m doing as much as I can to give back to the community, as much as I can to give back to the Autism community and as much work as I can to help anyone along their life journey,” said Jordan.
