Residents of one Bronx housing complex say they have had it with what they say is a smelly situation right outside their homes.
They say they want to know why it is not being cleaned up.
Residents nearby say their quality of life is suffering from the trash that litters the strip of land in the middle of Randall Avenue.
The Tenant Association is preparing for its Annual Family Day on the street Saturday, where the community is encouraged to come out for arts and crafts and senior activities.
However, litter and overgrown greenery have the association wondering why and if they want to still hold the event.
In the meantime, residents have been putting on gloves themselves to make things better.
The Department of Sanitation says that the area is scheduled to be cleaned Thursday, and if someone is seen creating dangerous conditions, residents are encouraged to call 311 to report it.
