Trump Golf Links in Ferry Point is celebrating its second season and is now officially open.
The golf course was once home to a landfill. However, millions of dollars went into transforming the 222-acre site into an 18-hole course.
Ron Lieberman, who is part of the management team, says 30,000 people visited the course last year with 75 percent of them returning. The golf course employs more than 120 people, and many of them hail from the Bronx.
Lieberman says there are some big plans in the works for this year.
"We expect to bring national golf championships here," says Lieberman. "We have been in talks with tours and working with them."
There are also plans to offer free programs to draw in the younger generation.
