A growing number of complaints have been filed against Kaiyo, a high-end furniture consignment company with clients across the tri-state area.
A Turn to Tara investigation reveals that hundreds of customers claim they turned over their furniture to the company, but never received payment and are now unable to reach them.
One such client, Dr. Milija Milic, decided to "Turn to Tara" after he turned over his pricey Restoration Hardware sofa and two high-end tables to Kaiyo, but never received a payout.
The investigation found that Dr. Milic's situation is not unique, with the Better Business Bureau receiving 138 complaints in the past 12 months alone from customers claiming they were duped by Kaiyo.
