Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man who attacked two women as they exited the 6 train in Soundview.

Investigators say the suspect approached two 46year-old women on Jan. 31and struck them both with a cellphone at around 1:40 p.m. on the Elder Avenue subway station.

The man then took off on foot in an unknown direction.

Both women were treated for minor injuries at the scene.
