The Universal Hip-Hop Parade for Social Justice announced a partnership with multiple organizations Wednesday to make a difference in the community.
The partnership includes the Brooklyn borough president's office, local Asian advocacy organizations and old school hip-hop artists.
The members of the partnership aim to use their influence to help those dealing with mental illness and hunger while fighting back against gun violence and promoting cultural diversity and tolerance.
Organizers say the collaboration is also being used as a way to celebrate the 50th anniversary of hip-hop.
