City. All right, let's bring hope back for another check of that hyper local forecast and the bitter blast. We're all feeling it's been a while since we've seen temperatures really this low hope and, you know, we know about the gloves and the hat and the scarf, but there's some other tips we need to probably remember. Yeah, definitely. You know, these cold temperatures are going to take us through at least tomorrow and then things start to turn around by the end of the week. But in the meantime, try to limit your time outdoors if you can. Again, the coldest time of day is during the morning hours. So if you have to go outside, just dress in layers, bundle up. And also if you are taking your car, try to warm it up ahead of time so that you're not getting into a cold vehicle and just be aware that you can also winterize your home, getting your home ready for the winter season by making sure that everything is insulated correctly. Check on your check on the elderly and the pets as they are susceptible to hypothermia and very cold temperatures that we are experiencing right now, over the next couple of hours still stuck in the thirties overnight, it gets even colder, feeling like the teens waking up tomorrow morning. So even though that's a thermometer is going to be 28 it's gonna feel like the teens 15 to 20 degrees out there over portions of the borough and even the city, the blustery winds is what's making it feel even colder tomorrow afternoon won't feel as harsh temperatures in upper thirties, near 40 degrees, a blend of sun and clouds but still cold and breezy throughout the day. Tomorrow, we're going to see the sunshine. Some clouds begin to filter in late but still going remain dry. Thursday. Your best bet to really go outside. Enjoy the sunshine and the slightly milder temperatures we're welcoming back the forties. So that's something that you can look forward to a little bit milder on our Friday. But this time it comes with some rain. So it looks like the best chance to start seeing some wet weather move into our area will be Friday afternoon, even lingering into Friday evening. Saturday does start off dry, but it looks like we're ending the weekend with some wet weather even continuing into early next week.

All right. Well, let's check back in now. We are dealing with this bitter blast still. We're checking in with teen meteorologist Scott Skoff. Now, Scott, you said today is not the end of these cold temperatures. I know it's the holiday season so I need to just get used to it. But man, yeah, there's a song that comes to mind. Follow la la la, la, la la oy because that's what we're looking at with colder temperatures. Even on the way into tomorrow, we're gonna be seeing these feels like temps staying in the twenties. But as we go to the end of the week, things are gonna be warmer but it comes with a catch rain is on the way, but those feels like temps can be the twenties all day long. So bundle up, keep yourself warm layer, have your jacket, your gloves, your scarf or hand warmers, reduce your time outside even with your furry friends too. Because as we go into the rest of the day today, we are going to be seeing these temperatures drop into the teens. That's what it's going to feel like for the start of your hump day tomorrow. So definitely even colder air ahead of us as we are looking at. Yes, a little bit of, I say it's snow. These have produced snow squall warnings over in northeast Pennsylvania and northwestern New Jersey. These snow showers are continuing to push on in towards us here in the city and you could even see those snow bands look to the north and west. This is a view from Kingsbridge and the Bronx. You can see those snow bands moving towards the city. So definitely the possibility is there towards the afternoon. I'm thinking between two and six o'clock in the afternoon, it's going to be some festive flakes, nothing accumulating but still be pretty to look at. And if you want to send your pictures in because it is going to be beautiful and by 67 o'clock should be done, we are going to be seeing that cold air come on and going to be in the twenties by the morning will feel like the teens and with that wind, that's going to be the big driving factor behind it. 20 to 30 mile per hour gusts through the rest of the day today and that will be lingering into tomorrow as well. So it's gonna be cold, it's going to be windy. It's gonna feel like the twenties even though the high temperature around 40 degrees with those blustery brisk winds gusts up to 30 MPH twenties overnight. But we feel like the teens because that breezy wind and all that cold air, the good news is we are going to be seeing that feels like temp go way up Thursday into the forties. So that's light at the end of the tunnel and then Friday fifties with the chance of rain. Same story, Sunday, Monday with milder temperatures as we enter the month of December on Friday.

Tonight, Michelle. Oh, it's tough out there right now. Eric. I mean, we're just watching temperatures drop hour by hour here. Wind chills right now. It's feeling like the teens and twenties already and it's going to get even worse by the time we wake up tomorrow morning. So you definitely need to layer up and cover all exposed skin, cover your hands, try to cover your face, especially if you're going to be standing or working out outdoors now. Right now, winds are still breeze and they're not that strong, but temperatures are dropping like a rock right now. All the way into the twenties for the morning. Here we are at 5 a.m. and temps are all below freezing. Now, the blue numbers here on the map, these are the wind chills. This is what the wind is making it feel like outside. So feeling like 15, feeling like 20 degrees for a time tomorrow morning and temperatures are going to struggle throughout the day. So we're not breaking 40 degrees. Staying below that today, we hit 40. It's not even going to be that warm out. Temperatures feeling colder because of the winds all day long for tomorrow and we could see more of those festive flakes are those flurries making a return right now. Things are much quieter, but there are some clouds around. Take a look at temperatures. That core of that cold air is here right now, but it's beginning to move in just a couple of days. All right, let's talk about this bitter blast that we're in right now. Addison, what does this mean for the Hudson Valley? And when will we see the light at the end of the tunnel? Quite literally. Hopefully, it's a nice warming light, right? Yes, exactly. Sunlight, right. Yeah, like swarm your hands right by that light Nikita. We will get some warmer days ahead. Temperatures bouncing back to normal levels for this time of the year. But we will definitely deal with a few more instances of cold air coming on down throughout the rest of the day today and through the midweek. So keep that jacket scarf and hat handed. You will need it by Friday to Sunday. Temperatures are milder and we will see showers come back our way. Thankfully, rain showers, not a little wintry mix of snow showers coming through, but for Friday and Sunday, so we can see what there's standing tall amongst the rest of the days and even Monday's 40% chance not too confident in those numbers right now. I think Saturday for the most part will trend on the dry side. The system just passed us by to the north and west. But back to the cold air at hand, we see those temperatures cooling on down to the upper twenties overnight with relatively fair skies and there will be a brisk wind coming on in that will gradually back down past sunset in throughout the early overnight hours. As we watch that wind slowly start to diminish, but it's coming in the wake of a cold from that pass by that open the freezer door, that chilly air will funnel on down. And because it's picking up moisture off the Great Lakes that don't have any ice on it, so it's able to easily pick up that moisture. It's transporting snow showers over this way. Some lake enhanced snow showers coming on down over across portions of upstate New York that did come down this way. We showed you that video earlier on. So later on tonight, 815 out in Pine bush, 20 degrees, your air temperature feeling about 18 white points 29 feeling 10 degrees colder than that fast forward in towards Wednesday morning, temperatures feeling in the upper teens in Newburgh, Middletown about 2527 degrees or so. So you have to give yourself and the car extra time to warm up. And then by Wednesday afternoon, you can see a lot of locations trending below the freezing point of 32 degrees. Now I mentioned there's a chance for seeing showers come our way. So as we go past Thursday into Friday we watch our system move up from the southern plains giving us rain showers by Friday afternoon and they should be out of here heading in towards your Saturday morning where we watch another system pass us by the north. But our third system comes our way for Sunday, giving us another round of rain showers. But we are gonna be noticing those temperatures trending where they should be this time of year, upper forties, not the upper thirties, Niia, that unfortunately we are feeling out there today and tomorrow.

Then we'd like warmer weather. Now, Sam is gonna try and deliver that makes me happy because I'm a summer girl. This is like it's not around the corner. Sam. You know, we have a long way to go. Um Our weather's been nice though. What an interesting sky today. Some sun, some flurries and this is beautiful. Uh Jim Lenning our very own, Jim Lenning got this photo when he was out today in Bellport. So along the south shore, we had a beautiful sky, some of those scattered cumulus clouds in the distance that brought in some of those flurries. If you happen to see them today, it was a windy day. It was a cold day. We've got a cold Wednesday morning coming up for you at the bus stop. Temperatures will be in the twenties. It is going to feel more like 15 degrees. So just bundle up have the layers on the afternoon, not so bad, 40 degrees, the breeze will start to die down. So by tomorrow night, there's not much of a wind left. Uh one more cold day coming up, we have these lake effect snow showers to our north and west where it's been snowing all day long. That's why we had some flurries, but as the winds die down in the coming days, um, those snow showers will be winding down as well. Back at home here, mostly clear in the morning. You see the twenties, cold start to the day. It is breezy in the afternoon, but the wind is switching to the west southwest and that will start to bring in the warmer air. So by Thursday morning, we're in the thirties, not so bad, less wind. And in the afternoon, look at this, we get that little bit of a warm up. So that will be my pick of the week. Forties with lots of sun will feel great after this little cold spell that we're seeing, our weather starts to change on Friday. It does turn mild. We're in the fifties. This is Friday late afternoon into the evening. That's our next chance for rain. It'll be fast moving. By Saturday morning, the rain clears out dry, start to the weekend, but our weather is turning a little bit unsettled. So by Sunday night showers return, we have some showers Monday, Tuesday, mild weather and then it will get breezy and colder by the middle of next week with temps.

Although he fell off a couple of times, but he rebounded nicely and, and scored nearly the first Sheep touchdown in NFL history. Nothing says childhood trauma like riding a sheep in front of 75,000 screaming football fans for season tickets. You know, that father is just like, get up, get up. We've got one more try. We got season tickets. Keep going, keep going, little buddy. Oh my God. Oh my God. He got the first time. They didn't even give him a saddle. That's because it's out west. A pat on the back and he's got a, he's got a walk on over, let's get over to the weather all and see what's happening with this, uh, forecast. We had some snow showers moving through earlier in the day. Temperatures are on the cold side of seasonable. But as we were talking about earlier, we will see temperatures eventually getting back to normal as the winds begin to change direction. It's getting cold very quickly, clear skies and it's still on the breezier side. So that wind is making it feel about 10 degrees colder. So we're looking for wind chills tonight that are going to be down again into the low and middle teens tomorrow afternoon, daytime, highs only recovering to the upper thirties. I think Wednesday is going to be a little bit cooler. So probably our first sub 40 degree high temperature day that cold air continuing to spill in over the border from Canada. We're just kind of locked into this very chilly pattern. There were some snow showers out there earlier in the day. We'll lose that going into tomorrow and then hopefully start to see a little bit more in the way of milder temperatures coming in. But unfortunately, clouds and showers for the start of the weekend.
