Members of a local track club used their sport to help people in need Sunday.
The Van Cortlandt Track Club hosted a charity run that will be donating money to the Puerto Rican Family Institute.
The group raised $1,600 that will be donated to those dealing with the after effects of Hurricane Maria.
Members paid an entry fee of $10 to participate, with some donations as much as $100 extra.
The run was about 3.5 miles.
